arlington national cemetery
southern expansion

The 50 acre Southern Expansion project brings new interment space, an arrival building, visitor’s parking, and operations facilities to support the cemetery’s mission.  Guiding the multitude of functional requirements necessary for the work was the mandate to honor and preserve the historic, aesthetic character of America’s most hallowed shrine while also being of our time.
