The Santa Monica Pier, the Palisades Incline, historic Muscle Beach and Chess Park are burned into our psyche from more Hollywood movies than we can name. The City of Santa Monica undertook a comprehensive rehabilitation of this most special place – restoring and rebuilding new playgrounds, restrooms, and promenade. Improvements to the coastal cliff park stabilized threatening erosion, and restored the craftsman pergola and rose garden.
